Hanbitsoft hat nun doch die Rechte an Hellgate:London übernommen. Wie aus einer offiziellen Mitteilung (http://hanbitgame-espresso.blogspot.com/2008/10/hanbitsoft-gains-hgld-mythos-ip.html) bekannt wird, soll das Game in einem neugegründetem Studio in UK zusammen mit Mythos weiterentwickelt werden.

Obwohl vorrangig für den asiatischen Markt geplant, tauchte nun eine Hanbitsoft-Meldung (http://hg.hanbiton.com/News/EventView.aspx?eid=170&etype=0) auf,in welcher von einer Neuöffnung des Höllentors auch für Europa die Rede ist.

Bleibt nur zu hoffen, das auch ein Koreaner ein Herz hat und uns europäische Fans nicht vergisst:)


Edit: die Software auf der Hanbitseite muss NICHT installiert werden um die Seite betrachen zu können

...die hoffnung stirbt zuletzt :D , ich bin mal gespannt wie das sich entwickelt und wünsch mir natürlich einen europaserver und später dann auch eine weiterentwicklung das games!
ich denke, wenn die rechte nun geklärt sind, das hellgate uns erhalten bleibt :cool: !

Wie heute bekannt wurde arbeitet Hanbitsoft sogar an einem Expansion Pack für Hellgate: London.

Laut Gamasutra (http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=22005) will Hanbitsoft nun doch EU/UK Server betreiben und das Höllentor bleibt geöffnet und soll sogar zum Free-To-Play Game umgearbeitet werden. Dazu gibt es auch eine offizielle Pressemitteilung (http://hanbitgame-espresso.blogspot.com/) des neuen Publishers:P

Schöner wär's noch, wenn ich mein Geld zurück bekommen könnte, oder zumindest einen Teil. Aber das wird wohl ein Wunschtraum bleiben. Wenn man meckert heißt es sowieso immer nur Pech gehabt, selbst schuld blablabla...

... wenn's weitergeht wär's trotzdem schön, und vielleicht schau ich dann mal wieder rein, auch wenn ich im Moment doch lieber Sacred 2 spiele ;)

Hanbitsoft have taken a U-turn with the action RPG Hellgate London and revealed the game will continue.

Hellgate London was set to close down at the end of this month with Hanbitsoft pulling all online support. This evening Hanbitsoft issued a statement announcing the game will continue with full server support and future content updates.

Hanbitsoft are now citing the developers as Redbana US Studio following the demise of Flagship Studios and they will be in charge of developing future updates.

Focus will now be placed on "strengthening community features while maintaining the speedy and thrilling action game elements"

A large patch is planned and HanbitSoft plans "to combine the two game play modes, unifying the split two communities into one. Also planned are class balance improvements and differentiation of each of the 5 acts. Gamers who attended the conference applauded this announcement".

Sensibly Hanbitsoft will be turning the game into a free to play model. This will please many players who thought the game should always have been based on a free to play model but may upset those who paid for a lifetime 'Founders' subscription when the game was originally released.

Tonight at midnight Hellgate London NA and EU servers and forums will be shutting down. I wanted to thank everyone for your support and for giving Hellgate London a chance. We all wish things would have turned out differently for HGL but sadly things don't always go like we plan.

It's always sad to see something that so many people put their blood and sweat into close down. The experience that Flagship / Ping0 has given me I will always cherish. I made many new friends with the team we had and I was reunited with old friends as well. I wish them all luck with what ever path they choose to pursue.

As for you the community of Hellgate, I hope that our paths cross again some day and wish you all luck in finding a game that you can be a part of and become so passionate over like you were with Hellgate.

HGL ist das bisher einzige Spiel, für das ich für das Online-Spielen Geld ausgegeben habe. Es wird auch auf längere Sicht das einzige bleiben.

Seit wann läuft eigentlich der offline-Mode von HGL ohne DVD? Ist mir erst heute aufgefallen :)

Hatte ich eigentlich auch so in Erinnerung. Aber wann das geändert wurde, keine Ahnung. Muss wohl mit einem Patch gewesen sein.
