Ist es Zufall, dass dieses Thema hier so gut wie keine Rolle spielt?
"4X" steht für "eXplore, eXpand, eXploit and eXterminate". Oft rundenbasierte Weltraumspiele (zB die MoO-Serie), manchmal aber auch in anderen Settings (zB die Civilization-Serie oder MoM) oder Echtzeit (zB, schon etwas älter, Pax Imperia oder, vielleicht ein Grenzfall, die X-Serie).
Aktuelle Beispiele sind zB Galactic Civilizations 2, Space Empires 5 oder Sword of the Stars.
